The story starts when Juliana Joseph, a professional aerial acrobat, wants to try something completely different and decides to take a handpan discovery workshop. The outcome takes a bit of an unexpected turn: she doesn’t take up the instrument herself, but it still enters her life in a different way. After the class, we decide to meet up for a silks and handpan-‘jam’ and… it was just magical! That is when we decided to combine our passions more permanently and start a new project: Silk&Pan.
Silk&Pan is a poetic and spectacular combination of live music and acrobatic performance. The sensual, at times breathtaking movements in the air are beautifully accompanied by magical sounds and groovy beats.
